About us

The Little Review is the pocket magazine for anyone interested in poetry.

In each issue you will find pithy book reviews, surprising features, scraps of news and mischief, and a handful of new poems.

Poetry magazines can be very dull. The Little Review is not a poetry magazine. We are a magazine – one that happens to be entirely about poetry.

We print three issues a year (Spring, Summer, and Autumn/Winter) on neat little A6 pages.

As well as a print edition – which is disconcertingly cheap, at just £5 – The Little Review is also available as a PDF. Highlights from the magazine appear in our free weekly newsletter (via Substack).

We are a UK magazine, and not related to the American journal The Little Review (1914-1929), although we’ve been told we have the same nose. We are flattered by the comparison.

Submissions for Issue No. 1 are now open. Read how to submit here.

The Little Review is edited by Tristram Fane Saunders.
